2017	Awarded Taiwan 36th Nation Cultural Award.
2016	Awarded Foreign Honorary Member by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.                Awarded Honorary Member for China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
2015	Invited by Chinese National Academy of Arts and gave speech with Prof. Peter Michaelson of Stanford University on “Similarities Between Science and Art: From Traditional Chinese Landscape to Outer Space”.
2014	Invited by Stanford University and gave speech on “Innovation through Challenge: The Creation of My Landscapes”.                Honored by Asia Society Hong Kong. Awarded “Global Outstanding Chinese Award” by Global Chinese Organization.
2013	Liu Kuo-sung Modern Ink Art Gallery was established by Shandong Provincial Museum as part of the permanent exhibition.
2011	Liu Kuo-sung Retrospective at 80, at the National Museum of China, Beijing.                Awarded China Arts Award “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Chinese National Academy of Arts.
2010	Awarded “Chair Professor” by Taiwan National Normal University.Awarded “Honorary Doctorate” by the World Academy of Arts.
2008	The 12th Awarded Taiwan’s “National Award for Arts”, presented by Taiwan President Ma Ying-Jeou.
2007	The Universe in The Mind: A Retrospective of Liu Kuo- sung’s 60 Years of Painting, held at The Palace Museum in Beijing.
2006	Invited by Harvard University and gave speech on “My Innovation Theory and Practice”.
2005	Appointed as Honorary Director for Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art in China.
2004	Awarded “Honorary Professor” by the Tainan Fine Arts University.
